The Authority may cancel a National Identification Card if satisfied that:
- the National Identification Card was issued based on inaccurate or incomplete identity information;
- the card was issued in error;
- there is a defect in the form of the card; or
- the individual to whom the card was issued, is no longer a citizen of Jamaica or is no longer an individual who is ordinarily resident in Jamaica.
