What happens to the information in the databases after a person dies?

Data in the National Identification Databases is only accessible for validation during the enrolled individual’s lifetime. Provision will, however, be in place for information about a deceased individual to be made available at the request of a third party (for example, for identification matters involving the deceased’s estate). However, after a while, the identity data of a deceased individual will be archived.
